East Kimberley outreach clinics

L to R: Nick, James, Carmela and Sophie ready for the day 2 clinic at Wangkatjungka Remote Community School.

The PATCHES team visited Kununurra and Wangkatjungka communities for outreach clinics that included clients from Balgo, Yiyili and Muludja early November.

The clinics integrated 5 remote schools, Kununurra Medical, OVAHS, Child Protection, Halls Creek GPs and WACHS Allied Health.  With the range of conditions addressed including ADHD, Autism and FASD.

Training, consultation and upskilling was also conducted in Kununurra with local staff and carers from the Department for Child Protection which was received positively.

PATCHES would like to thank the staff of Kununurra District High School /Community and School Library and Wangkatjungka Remote Community School for opening their schools to host the clinics and allow safe spaces for families to feel welcome.  We look forward to going back to these communities in the near future!
