Rowena Friend is a Forensic Psychologist with General Registration, Forensic Psychology Endorsement and Board-Approved Supervisor status with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Rowena completed her Bachelor of Science (Hons) at the University of Tasmania and then her Master of Psychology (Forensic) at UNSW.
She is currently completing her PhD through the University of Tasmania on Forensic Psychological and Psychiatric reports. Rowena has 10 years’ experience as a Psychologist in a broad range of positions including diagnosis, individual and group treatment of mainly forensic and child/adolescent clients. She has a particular interest in complex diagnostic questions, including FASD, ADHD, ASD, ID, learning disorders, and forensic issues. She has worked in both the NSW and Tasmanian prison systems, schools, private practice and in remote indigenous communities in East Arnhem Land, NT.
Rowena is currently the Diagnostic Team Leader for NT, and has a passion for completing diagnostic assessments that are helpful and useful for her clients and those who support them.
